Fabric & Fiber Sale

The sale was started in honor of Fabric Corner, Falmouth’s former fabric store which used to have an annual sale on the same day as Super Bowl Sunday to give family members who just might not be thrilled about the football game an alternative enticing event. This sale is a major source of fundraising for the Library’s operating budget. All materials for the sale are donated from community members, and the Library welcomes donations of fabric, yarn, and more.

Fighting on Two Fronts: Racism on Cape Cod During WWII

FCTV Hosts Black History Month Program Examining Racism on Cape Cod During World War II. The presentation will take place Wednesday, February 11, at 5:30 p.m. in Studio A at FCTV. The program will be led by Joe Yukna, founder of the Cape Cod Military Museum, and Barbara Burgo, co-founder and curator of the Cape Cod Cape Verdean Museum. Together, they will examine how racial discrimination shaped the wartime experience of service members of color on Cape Cod, drawing on historical records, images, and local context. History on Tap: Old Ladies Against Underwater Garbage

Cape Cod Maritime Museum, 5-6:30pm
Since 2017, this fearless team of swimmers, ages 65 to 85, has been cleaning ponds across Cape Cod—from Falmouth to Chatham. Moving through the shallows and diving for beer cans, golf balls, fishing lures, waterlogged dog toys, jackets, shoes, and occasionally a tire, cell phone, or even a box of spent fireworks, they leave no trash behind.
