At 10am the Sandwich Chamber of Commerce's SandwichFest street fair, begins and will feature booths selling arts, crafts and comestibles. Then at 1pm there will be  musical acts playing on porches throughout the historic village downtown area. So much festivity is not to be missed!

Spinnaker: An Entanglement Story

Cape Museum of Natural History, Brewster
Spinnaker is the Center for Coastal Studies' thirty-six-foot preserved humpback whale skeleton installed in the Center’s Hiebert Marine Lab in 2017. Spinnaker was an eleven-year-old humpback known to the Center since she was a calf who tragically died after suffering many fishing gear entanglements throughout her short life. Join Jesse Mechling as he recounts the story of Spinnaker, which holds an important message of long-term scientific studies, conservation and disentanglement efforts, as well as the serious threats that marine animals still face today.
