The Widow’s War Tour of Satucket (Brewster) Village for the final time in 2019. Seats available only on the afternoon tour on Sept. 26. The 3-hour tour is scripted by Sally Gunning and based on her acclaimed historical novel, The Widow’s War. There will be four stops at historic locations and a book signing by the author. The Cape Cod Climate Strike is an initiative created by local high school students to show our community’s support for transformative climate action. Cape Cod Doxie Day

A Cape Cod tradition continues to celebrate everything dachshund in charming Barnstable Village. Join the Wiener Waddle and Waggin' Parade, cheer on your favorite doxie in the Doxie Dash. Think you have the longest dachshund or teeniest weenie? Enter contests to win prizes and bragging rights. Your dog will want to sit and stay at the new pop-up Dachshund Café. Check out unique vendors. raffles, food truck and more. So come on out and sing the official Dachs- song, mingle and meet other doxies to benefit local animal organizations. Bring along packaged pet food and kitty litter for local shelters. All well-behaved, on leash dogs are welcome. Admission is free with plenty of free parking.

4th Annual Ruck4HIT 5K

We encourage walkers, runners, and ruckers of all abilities to join us for this beautiful run along the beach. We are raising funds for Heroes in Transition which provide services to veterans, active duty military, and military families through a range of programs that includes: a Canine Co-Pilot Program; equine therapy through its Families In Transition (FIT) Week; a Fall Couples Retreat; bimonthly outings for military couples; bimonthly outings for veterans; bimonthly outings for military spouses; financial support; fishing excursions; and more. Kennedy Legacy Trail

Celebrates the significant role the Kennedy¹s played in shaping the history of Hyannis and Cape Cod. The 1.6 mile trail consists of 10 informational signs that are placed at key locations from Main Street to the harbor, finishing up at the JFK Memorial at Veteran¹s Beach Each stop provides a brief history of the site and its significance to the Kennedy¹s and their life on Cape Cod. Visitors along the trail can retrieve additional information by accessing the QR code or dialing the number on each sign.
