Cape Cod Healthcare medical supply donation sites to close May 8

After an amazing response and six weeks of operation, the five designated drop-off locations will close on Friday, May 8. This decision came in part due to a decrease in donations. CCHC is still looking for donations before the May 8 closure. Specifically, in need are:

  • N95 and N99 Masks
  • Isolation Gowns
  • Cloth Masks

After May 8, all donation inquiries should be coordinated directly with the Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation by calling the main office line: 508-862-5600. Donations can also be dropped off at the Foundation office at 32 Main Street, Hyannis.

A new tool to prevent the spread of COVID-19 on Cape Cod

Barnstable County residents are the first in the state to have an online tool that tracks the hot spots of coronavirus cases in the region.
A joint effort among Cape Cod Healthcare, the Barnstable County Department of Health and Environment and the Cape Cod Commission, this online tool provides case details by postal zip codes and at a sub-regional level.

Cape Cod Healthcare Testing Site

Cape Cod Healthcare, in partnership with Barnstable County Department of Health and Environment, will provide drive-through COVID-19 coronavirus testing. As of March 20, 2020, a physician must have affiliated status with Cape Cod Healthcare to submit a patient's order for drive-through testing. A physician outside of the network will not be able to submit an order for testing. Testing will be held at Cape Cod Community College at 2240 Iyannough Road from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., seven days a week.

Individuals without a primary care physician who are experiencing symptoms, including fever, coughing or shortness of breath, should call 508-862-5595 and they will be screened for COVID-19 testing with a Cape Cod Healthcare clinical provider via phone.

If testing is required, the clinical provider will follow the same process of submitting the doctor's order to the testing team and the patient will be called with a testing appointment time.

Those arriving at the testing site without a doctor's orders and/or an appointment will be turned away without exception.
