A Weekend of Halloween

Then we’ll display the scarecrows on our front lawn for a week to let people vote for their favorite. Calling all Boos, Ghouls, Pets and Parents,too! Join us at Country Garden for a Halloween celebration! Just in time for the big day, from 12-1:30 we will be getting crafty with squash! For just $5.00 you can choose your own sugar pumpkin and join local artist and haunted house guru, John Sullivan, to decorate it with some crafty goodies supplied by us! Pumpkins may need extra dry time and we will gladly keep them safe for you until the end of the day or even overnight! Also, from 12-2:30 we will be regaled with stories told by a real witch and a real pirate! Pull up a hay bale, grab a hot cup of cider and enjoy! At 2:30 please join us for the main event. We welcome all the beasties and their besties to join in the Pets and Their People Costume Parade! Sign in before the parade and every costumed pet, parent, boo, and ghoul will be entered into a raffle to win a $25.00 Country Garden gift card! Barbara Sillery's lively author presentation is a ghostly gallivant around the Cape. Traveling from the upper to the lower Cape, the author of The Hauntings of Cape Cod and the Islands, will introduce a little girl ghost, a sea captain and his wife, as well as a female ghost who is on the lookout for fires. Sharing images from these intriguing chapters of her book, she will delve into the history behind the mystery of Cape Cod's historic sites. Audience participation is encouraged and rewarded with a few prizes. Questions at the end of the talk are welcome.
